OK So this is the first post! We are a group of people with a common aim and that is to turn back Love Lane Green to a green for the people. At the moment it is fenced off with unsightly horrible corrugated fencing , which the owners of the land have put around it.
Brief synopsis goes like this
Land owned by Greater London Council
Land sold and bought by current owners
Owners trying to build houses on it for a long time
People near and surrounding the green want Croydon Council to compulsory purchase it and turn it back to a green.
Why ? Cos they go on and on about kids being healthy, playing outside, being around the community and the only places around here to do that are too far away to go without a parent.
In following posts i will post a dated history, what is happening now, and photos of then and now.
